The Tyler School of Art and Architecture and the Fox School of Business Management collaborate to offer this undergraduate certificate in Creative Entrepreneurship for artists and other creatives who want to add business skills too.
All of Tyler’s studio art BFA degrees give you the option to add an art education concentration (K-12). It requires an additional 32 credit hours in education, art education and specified liberal arts courses. Plan to spend 5 years completing all BFA degree requirements and the art education concentration curriculum — for a total of 155 credits.
The art education certification qualifies you to sit for the exams required to earn Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Art (K-12).

Work inside one of the biggest ceramics studios in the country (10,000 square feet)! Tyler gives you access to a wide range of equipment, including gas and electric kilns, a large glaze room, an 18-station wheel throwing room, a large hand-building room, a large undergraduate majors rooms, private graduate studios, a clay mixing room, clay storage room, a very large exhibition and critique space, plus decal printers, 3D printers and a CNC router.
Tyler helps you find optional internships with local ceramic studios like The Clay Studio in Philadelphia and artists in the region.
Many Tyler ceramics students attend the annual National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) conference each year. Great networking!
