Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking

Thanks to studying a wide range of printmaking concepts and techniques and focusing on career development, Tyler’s BFA in printmaking prepares you to seize any opportunities as they arise in your life.

Inside Tyler’s large, modern, fully equipped studios, you first learn the fundamentals of the four printmaking disciplines:

  • Relief
  • Intaglio
  • Lithography
  • Silkscreen

Then, you get to choose at least two of these disciplines for continued, in-depth study.

Later in your academic career, your faculty-mentors at Tyler challenge you with advanced projects like these.

  • Color
  • Photo processes
  • Large-scale printing
  • Installation
  • Digital printmaking

Tyler’s emphasis on interdisciplinary work encourages you to connect with classmates at all levels throughout our many studio art disciplines. The result? Your own studio practice features dynamic work with fusion and crossover elements from other fields, including photography, painting, fibers or sculpture.

Here, you prepare for your academic and/or professional life after graduation.
